Boyfriend Watch Giveaway: Lolly Watch

Check out the latest addition to my boyfriend watch collection - the Blueberry Sentanite Lolly Watch - doesn't it look adorable next to its Rose Gold and Mint friends? (Can watches be adorable? I think so!)

What is a Lolly Watch?

Lolly Watches are Eco-friendly watches made from the pulp of Softwood trees. The softwood pulp is processed with color and scent to create Sentanite - a hypoallergenic, BPA & Petroleum-free material. Each watch is hand-finished and features a 36mm crystal lens and stainless steel details.

The Lolly Juice collection features 8 brightly colored watches infused with the following scents: orange, apple, black currant, pineapple, grape, blueberry, coconut and strawberry. They retail for $85 and, in line with Lolly's Eco-friendly policies, a tree is planted for each watch sold!

My Thoughts

I love EVERYTHING about this high-quality watch - from the adorable wooden crate packaging to the luxe stainless steel and crystal details. It feels very light on my wrist (especially compared to my other watches!) and the 36mm face provides the boyfriend effect without overpowering my petite wrist.

And the scent...oh my goodness...so light and sweet, but not at all cloying. My kids are always coming up to sniff my wrist - my daughter claims my watch smells like her blueberry Strawberry Shortcake doll!

Back from our Muskoka Mini-Break - Our stay at the JW Marriott Rosseau

You don't always see the beauty in your own backyard...rather than always traveling out of the country, I want my family to experience some of the amazing places we have in Canada. So I booked a mini-break for our family at the JW Marriott in Muskoka. We just got back from our trip - and we couldn't be happier with our whole experience.

Clockwise: Double Queen bed room, the balcony, bathroom and kitchenette

Our room was GORGEOUS - it had a charming cottage-y feel with all the high-end amenities. The seating area on the balcony was the perfect setting for our first coffees of the day. The spacious bathroom featured both a bathtub and a showerstall, while the kitchenette was a life-saver for making a quick breakfast for the kids.

Indoor and outdoor pools; the JW Marriott viewed from our paddleboat

There were so many activities on-site, we hardly left the resort. Although we spent most of our time exploring the multiple pool areas, we also found time to go paddle-boating on the lake, attend a cooking demonstration at Teca restaurant and take the kids on a scavenger hunt. All of these activities were complimentary and included in the resort fee.

Clockwise: the house LM Montgomery stayed at in Bala, Anne of GG dollhouse, gorgeous Bala scenery, Anne & Diana having a tea party - raspberry cordial anyone?

The only time we left the resort was to explore nearby Bala - the location that inspired LM Montgomery (author of Anne of Green Gables) to write my favorite book of all time: The Blue Castle. Of course we HAD to visit the Anne of Green Gables museum in Bala. My daughter LOVED it - she got to dress up in period costumes (ok.. I got dressed up too!) and we viewed all sorts of Anne memorabilia.

My Trip OOTDs:

It seems like I spent most of the trip in a swimsuit - but here's what I wore the rest of the time. Old Navy maxi dresses & an American Eagle jacket for the 2-hour drive there and back, an H&M mini-dress and leggings and a Garage lace top and jeans.

Travel must-haves:

These two products were essential on this holiday. Although I adore my Morrocanoil serum, it's not very travel friendly (even with double ziplocs, it leaks EVERYWHERE!). Between the chlorinated pool water and daily shampoos, I knew I needed something to prevent my highlighted hair from becoming a mass of frizz. The Live Clean Exotic Vitality Leave-in Conditioner Spray contains Monoi Oil, Jojoba Oil and Bamboo Extract to promote hair strength and elasticity. I sprayed it on my hair 3 times a day: before going swimming, after my shower, and at bedtime. It smells SOOO good and kept my hair tangle-free and glossy (check out the last pic in my OOTD photo - my hair's still shiny, right? Please don't say I look like a frizzy mess!)

I use my Neutrogena sunscreen every morning, but the formula is not conducive for reapplication over make-up. So I used the Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF to top-up on sun protection during the day. This powder has a matte finish and is easy to tap on without worrying about clogging my pores or getting burned.

Hope you enjoyed my post! Do you like going on vacation close to home?

Disclaimer: We paid for our stay at the JW Marriott ourselves - the best room rate we found was with our CAA discount. The Live Clean conditioner was sent to me for review, but as always, my opinions are 100% my own.

P.S. Canadians - don't forget to enter my $50 Spectro Skincare giveaway! I'm giving away FIVE prizepacks!

Want to win my must-have facewash? I have 5 prize packs to give away!

In my recent Updated Skincare Routine post I featured the products that have helped clear up my skin and keep it problem free:

As you can tell, one of my staple products is Spectro Cleanser - I use it morning and night to gently cleanse my skin while maintaining its pH balance. My dermatologist introduced me to Spectro (along with Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture and Tactuo). Although Cetaphil and Spectro are both marketed as gentle cleansers, I prefer Spectro because it provides a deeper clean - Cetaphil often leaves me with clogged pores on my forehead!

Since I was already a loyal Spectro cleanser user, I was super-excited to be contacted by Spectro with FIVE Spectro Cleanser Prize Packs for Ella Pretty's Canadian readers!!!

What you could win:

Each "Blemish-prone skin" prize pack consists of a 500 mL cleanser for your bathroom, a 200 mL cleanser to take to the gym and a 140 mL moisturizer, along with a branded bathroom cup. Prize packs are valued at approximately $50.

Spectro® Cleanser for Blemish-Prone Skin
• Penetrates pores to remove dirt, oil and bacteria that can cause acne • Purifies & tones • Gentle, non-irritating • For sensitive skin • Free from potentially irritating ingredients such as fragrance, dyes, sodium, sulfates, parabens and lanolin • Soap-free • Softens & smoothes skin • pH balanced to skin

How to enter:

Contest runs from August 16 - 24 and is only open to residents of Canada excluding Quebec.

Navy Gingham, Sparkly Sandals & Contest Winner

I love wearing gingham shirts in the summer - a particular favorite is this navy shirt from Garage. I've worn it with mint jeans:

Target mint jeans.
Shirt: Garage (similar from J.Crew Factory), Necklace: F21 (similar from J.Crew Factory), Jeans & Watch: Target, Sandals: Forever21

And with white jeans and sparkly sandals:

Shirt: Garage (similar from J.Crew Factory), Necklace: F21 (similar from J.Crew Factory), Jeans: Garage, Sandals: Target, Watch: La Mer

The sparkly j.crew-alike sandals (the Xhilaration Lavada Slide Sandal) I'm wearing above are all over the blogosphere. When I finally tracked them down at Target, I found them on clearance for $14 - score!

While at the mall, I was seriously tempted by these slouchy skull clutches at Le Chateau...if they ever go on sale, the black one is mine!

Skull Clutches

I think it would be the perfect finishing touch to this black & grey outfit, don't you think?

Shirt & Necklace: H&M, Skirt: Old Navy (this year's version here), Sandals: Forever21

Thank you to everyone who entered my Citrine Eternity Band giveaway - the winner is Angela M. Congrats! I've sent you an email. To everybody else - stay tuned for a super-cute watch giveaway in the coming weeks!

My Top 10 Lip Products & Monthly Must-Reads

Question of the month from Mehreen: "What are your top 10 lip products (balms/glosses/lipsticks etc)."

Swatches: Revlon Peach Parfait Lip Butter, Revlon Fuchsia, MAC Angel, MAC Staunchly Stylish, MAC Brick, Chanel Vamp

Lipsticks & Lipliners:

Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait - I FINALLY gave in to the hype and bought my first lip butter...and the raves are justified, it's AMAZING! Super light but adds so much gloss and color to your lips...lovely to apply and the packaging is so pretty to look at - if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it.

Revlon Colorburst in Fuchsia - Another stellar lip product from Revlon. This shade is a dupe for MAC's Girl About Town. The pigmentation and quality is equal to MAC's, but Revlon's quilted packaging is prettier, and the price is much cheaper!

MAC Angel - One of MAC's most popular lipsticks. I like dabbing it over other lipsticks as a highlight - it makes your lips look plumper.

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish - A new purchase - I heard these were super long-lasting so I bought this shade (similar to Spice) for everyday outlining.

MAC Lipliner in Brick - Gorgeous orangey-red - I use it as an all-over lip color (read more about my lipliner-as-lipstick trick over here)

Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Vamp/Rouge Noir - Love using this both as a lipcolor and to define my lips. If you apply it lightly above your lip outline, it gives the illusion of plumper lips. Lasting power is equal to MAC's Pro Longwear line - once on, it does not budge!

Dior Addict in Twin Set Pink, Burts Bees Honey Lipbalm, Revlon Pink Pop, MAC 318

Lipglosses, Balm & Brush:

Dior Addict Gloss in Twin Set Pink - Pretty pink shade with gold shimmer but...once I use it up, I'll be switching to something from the Buxom Big & Healthy range!

Burts Bees Honey Lip Balm - Keeps my lips soft and moist without any waxy feeling or residue - plus it's 100% natural - which makes me reach for it over my other favorite: Nivea Milk & Honey.

Revlon Colorburst Gloss in Pink Pop (old packaging) - Yet another pick from Revlon! I've posted about my love for this gloss before - I picked it up because of rumors that Blair Waldorf wore it for her Royal Wedding on Gossip Girl. Whether or not that's true, this gloss is perfection - easy to apply plus the hot pink color actually shows up on my dark lips!

MAC 318 Retractable Lip Brush - More of a tool than a product, I included this because it's a must-have for applying glosses evenly so that they don't look gloppy! Love the retractable feature - it's so teeny and easy to carry around in my makeup bag!

What are some of your favorite lip products?

Citrine Eternity Band Giveaway from Anjolee!

Dainty finger rings are a huge trend at the moment. Spread across your fingers, worn above-the-knuckle midi style or in alternating bands of mixed metal: Ring Parties have joined Arm Parties as a pretty and fun way to layer multiple items of jewelry.

The latest addition to my ring party is this delicate citrine and silver eternity band from Anjolee.com. I first wrote about Anjolee last year - highlighting its unique personalization service that allows you to design the perfect piece of jewelry.

Anjolee has recently launched a wide range of eternity rings, ranging from classic diamond bands to a mix of gemstone, pave and modern styles. While the sample created for me was made with CZ and silver, the jewelry for purchase on Anjolee's site is only made with certified natural diamonds, gemstones and gold or platinum metals.

Here are a selection of diamond eternity bands currently available on Anjolee. The one in the top left is the blue version of my citrine band. As with all of Anjolee's designs - these rings can be customized with the mix of stones and metals to suit your tastes.

Clockwise from top left: Eternally Yours Gemstone Eternity Band, Weaved Band Diamond Eternity Ring, Double-Row Channel Set Gemstone Eternity Ring, Triple-Row Pave Diamond Eternity Band, and Millgrain Edge Diamond Eternity Band.

I've been loving my delicate citrine eternity band - it goes well with both types of metal due to the yellow tones of the citrine stones - I love looking down at my hand and seeing the stones shimmering away.  If you would like to own a sample of Anjolee's workmanship, enter my contest to win my Citrine, CZ and Silver Eternity Band in your ring size!

How to enter: Please use the Rafflecopter form below. There are 3 mandatory steps detailed in the form (1 - Like my FB page, 2 - Like Anjolee's FB page, 3 - Leave a comment below describing your dream ring. Links to FB pages are in the Rafflecopter form). There will also be two bonus entries.

 Please note:
- Only entries placed through the Rafflecopter form will be counted
- You must have completed ALL 3 mandatory steps to be eligible to win
- Contest is open to U.S. & Canadian Residents only.
